Ah, the cyberworld of today and tomorrow! You can be a priest, pedophile, girl, boy, male, female, or even transsexual in today's IM chatroom. cyberspace has advanced much, and internet security is trying to keep up.

Some of the security issues lay in going to the wrong website and entering in personal information that can be used against you, such as your bank information and SSN. Other issues lay in emails. The famous ones relate in trying to fool thereceiverinto thinking that the scammer is the legit site, which s/he is most certainly not.

Cyberstalking has also become an issue, though the security threat posed by this depends on the individual. Famously, Creationists on YouTube, (most notably, VFX), have said that muslims threaten them, and that they are being censored by this. As Shawn is a proven lier, this is unlikely to be the case.

One venture that has particular need for internet security is the PTC world. NeoBux, itself, is noted for taking extreme measure to insure the safety of personal information. It may well be the next step in web development for the next generation of PTCing.

A common concern and annoyance amoung the PTCing community about PTS (paid to surf) sites, is that they often host malware, and if not malware, pop-ups. A pop-up is something that, when you open a page, "pops-up", hence the name. As far as pop-ups go, it is generally best, rule of thumb, to simply not use IE. Firefox and Google Chrome both have anti-pop-up measures.

In cyberspace nowadays, it seems then, internet security is both at an all-time high and an all-time low. How can this be? Because while there are enhanced measures against malware sites and pop-ups, one - just one - badly adjusted pop-up can screw with your system, not to mention your cyberspace.

The best advice? Get Firefox or Google Chrome. Just by getting these browsers, you have protected yourself against the majority of viruses, trojans, and miscreants that roam the internet today, looking for prey, for the next victim, to infect their virus with.

(psst: Get Chrome) Why do people stick with Firegox? The add-ons. And really, I tend to use both. But, I do prefer Chrome quite a bit.
